Armand Rousseau (1912-1959) was a prominent winemaker in Burgundy, France, who founded Domaine Armand Rousseau in 1920. Today, the domaine is still run by his descendants and is considered one of the finest producers of Pinot Noir in the world.

Rousseau was known for his meticulous attention to detail in the vineyard, using sustainable farming practices and focusing on low yields to produce high-quality grapes. In the winery, he employed traditional methods, such as whole-cluster fermentation and aging in oak barrels, to create wines that were both powerful and elegant.

Some of the most sought-after wines from Domaine Armand Rousseau include their Chambertin, Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques, and Ruchottes-Chambertin. These wines are known for their intense flavors of red and black fruit, earthy undertones, and firm tannins that give them excellent aging potential.

Today, Domaine Armand Rousseau is still considered one of the top producers in Burgundy and their wines are highly sought after by collectors and wine enthusiasts around the world.
